My warrior girl needs help.
Suzanne and I were together this weekend trying to figure out how to get more people to help us get her free of the Army. If you do not know what happened to her, check out suzanneswift.org
She deserves to come home. Her mental/emotional and spiritual health is starting to deteriorate and I am scared for her. She needs the trauma healing that an Iraq Vet who has been raped deserves.
Peace and let's show our support for Suzanne by making this a huge tribe full of love, support and ACTION for her.
Thank you all...
Sara

Tue, August 1, 2006 - 7:36 PMSo...
What is it that we can do for her?
Having been in the AF, and having friends also in the service, mostly WM's (Women Marines, for those who don't know) it can be a really f***ed up scary deal when those you are supposed to be able to back you turn aroubd and do you wrong.
Does she have a good JA representing her? Has she gotten outside counsel? The JA's are good, but remember, they work for the good of the company (in ths case, the army) than the soldier. If she doesn'gt yet have a private atty, she should get one.
Whatever else we can do... let us know. There are a lot of us sisters out there who have been there, and we need to back one of our own.
Remember, too... the best she may get is a transfer out to somewhere else. Getting out may not be an option (esp., with stoploss and the other criminal shit the put on those serving their country) but she may be able toget relocated to fill out her stint. It used to be commander's decision, but that was 20 years ago when I was in... but they could do that then.
Goung UA isn't a good thing, tho, as it can (and will) come back to bite her. She has to get hold of someone and fix *that* problem. Like I said, Find a good civ. lawyer who is fluent in the UCMJ. May just save her butt. This is SO important I can't begin to tell you...
Otherwise... OK... I'm prayin' for her to get justice. May not think it's much, but anything helps.
Hugz from a fellow (former) sister-at-arms...

Re: Free Suzanne Swift tribe! Please join!!!
Tue, August 1, 2006 - 9:43 PMHey..thank you so much for what you said. My daughter is a strong and kind person and she joined the Army not to be raped and harassed. She has a JAG, but we jsus hired a very aggressive former JAG who we both feel can fight hard for her. The harassers and molesters were all in a position of power over her in the Army and while she was deployed in Iraq..there were three Sgts that hurt her two are out of the Army and the other is still there. I know the Army will not go after them, but I know somehow justice will prevail.
I am not sure what to ask you to do other than go to her website and sign the petition, spread the word so we can get donations to support what unfortunately looks like a long legal battle to free my daughter. I know her spirtis are low and I thought starting a tribe for her would lift them up and get more awesome people involved. Here's the links:

your prayers do help.....
thanks so much and keep in touch!
